Late night, late post! Just a quick Round 2 of one of our all time faves, the Glenrothes Select Reserve. 351st article, that’s kind of crazy.
This introductory bottle from a long standing distillery is a common feature on many of our whisky shelves. We’ve reviewed it on its own and as part of the Glenrothes flight at The Highlander and BattleScotched it as well. Here’s what we thought this time around:

Dan – malted chocolate & ginger, some sweet apple cider
Simon – malt, marsh, honey
Ryan – cherry wood, caramel

Dan – vibrant & lots of spice, slight citrus, caramel
Simon – honey, sweet roundedness, raisins & spice
Ryan – sweet apple, light smoke, smooth, buttery
finish
Dan – very long
Simon – warm, smooth & very nice
Ryan – light, easy
