Fuller’s Vintage Ale 2019 with Dan

Realllllllly fucked up the calendar with that 6 months off, but also, I think this one had sat in the hopper until the hops denatured or other bad sounding science words.

Vintage Ale is one of those bottles we try to pick up every year. There may even be a 2020 in the bottom of my fridge right now, I can’t really remember. Really not a fan of drinking by myself, apparently. Equally apprent tho is that I’m fine smoking myself like a side of salmon. Hey, if smoking is so bad, how come it cures bacon? ugh I’m one of those people now.

ANYWAY HERE’S A BEER REVIEW FROM MORE THAN 12 MONTHS AGO

smell
Dan – citrus, bright, cranberries, cidre
Simon – yeast and fruit, cask

taste
Dan – butterscotch, dry white wine, light hops
Simon – yeast front, clears to good balance malt & hops

finish
Dan – short, refreshing
Simon – bitter & short, clean

overall
Dan – 8.4/10
Simon – 8/10
