I should come clean on this one before I go any further – after Taliskers, Bowmore is my favourite scotch. If you want to drink single malt scotch on a budget, you literally can’t beat this. I got my first bottle as a birthday present from my friend Jono – I’m now at the bottom of my second and will be replacing it with no hesitation.
Neat: smells of oak & alcohol. hints of cinnamon spice & burn.
With ice: edge comes off the spice & burn, mellower with no smoke.
Bowmore 12y – 40% 750ml – $51.50 – Islay

Going to have to try this one next time I’m in town!
