Just a quickie review today – Beer! Old Tomorrow is a Toronto brewery that’s pretty new. They’re in a few southern and eastern Ontario pubs and the LCBO, so they’re off to a great start.
This “ryed ale” is “Brewed with 100% Canadian Rye Whisky and oak“ which I’m not entirely sure what it means. If they’re part of the wort, mixed, aged, soaked, whathaveyou.
While this particular beer didn’t wow me, I’m looking forward to trying other offerings. Here’s what I thought:
colour – deep apple cider
nose – hoppy, bright, mint, cereal
taste – light flavour, refreshing, slight hop, nothing major going on
finish – clean, very carbonated
Monty’s Golden Ryed Ale – 5.5% 600ml – $6.95 – Ontario
Try it? Okay. Buy it? No.
