Nunavut Brewing Company Floe Edge ᓯᓇᖕᒐ ᐊᖅᓴᕐᓂᑦ ᕕᐊ Northern Lights Lager

Thinking northern thoughts today, so here’s the last of the Nunavut Brewing Company reviews in the hopper: Floe Edge ᓯᓇᖕᒐ ᐊᖅᓴᕐᓂᑦ ᕕᐊ Northern Lights Lager.

Like all the NuBrew offerings we’ve tried, it’s pretty clean and comes with a great story, but doesn’t have much in the way of character or identity of its own. But to be honest with you, in this era of show off brewing and stunt beers, it’s kind of… ugh, refreshing (i hate myself) to make just really drinkable beer. In this case it’s more about supply chain, access and shelf life but hey, whatever gets you there.

nose – fresh, v mild hoppy, malt

taste – good lager but not a lot going on

finish – mild bitter

overall – bitter builds as you drink it. lacks any distinguishing features but generally refreshing 7/10
