Dewar’s 15y Blended Scotch Whisky with Dan & Goran

Flat out forgot we’re doing all Dewar’s this month. Was scrolling through the hopper trying to figure out what to post and hummed and hawed then made dinner and came back and looked and it and OH SHIT RIGHT here’s Dewar’s 15y.

So what makes the 15 different? Literally 3 years. It’s the same stuff, but longer. Here’s what we thought:

nose
Dan – less tangy hot garbage
Simon – sharp, caramel apple
Goran – lemon, very bright

neat
Dan – light, tart, lemon rind
Simon – hot chemical spill
Goran – less sweet

finish
Dan – hot, longer
Simon – burn again, so bitter, musty
Goran – short, peppery, smooth

splash
Dan – no, don’t do it
Simon – thin and sharp
Goran – no goodness
